What is Capitol Hill Day? This event, held in conjunction with the Alliance's annual National Conference on Ending Homelessness, July 13-15, 2011 in Washington, DC, gives participants a chance to meet with their Members of Congress to take part in federal advocacy - a critical component in our work to end homelessness. The meeting goals are to:
- Establish/build relationships with your Congressional offices;
- Educate your Senators and Representatives on your success and progress at home; and
- Encourage them to work in support of policy initiatives to end homelessness.
Capitol Hill Day Federal Policy Update Webinar On Thursday, July 7, at 3:00 pm EST, the Alliance will host a Federal Policy Update Webinar in preparation for Capitol Hill Day. A recording of the webinar and the PowerPoint presentation will be available on July 8. Presenters will review the latest updates and key talking points for each policy priority, along with the targeted requests for each. To register for the webinar, please click here.
