For a number of years, Jane Harper has been a community, state and national advocate, committed to promoting policies and practices that strengthen youth and families. She has played a strong leadership role in the development and positioning of Family Resources to carry out its mission in support of children, youth and families. Jane has been honored for her dedication, service, outstanding contributions, leadership, professional achievement and creativity on behalf of children and introducing much-needed programs to Pinellas and Manatee Counties in Florida. In fact, Jane was awarded the Executive Leadership Award of Excellence at Symposium in 2003. In her years with Family Resources she continues to advocate and educate our state and federal elected officials on the need for prevention and intervention services for our youth and their families
For the past 3.5 years, Jane has been the Southeastern Network Regional Representative to the National Network for Youth's National Council for Youth Policy. Therefore she understands the pressing and emerging issues, particularly around public policy. Jane has been elected twice to serve terms on the SEN Board as Florida's Representative. Jane has also been a Board member of the Florida Network of Youth & Family Services since 1988. During this time with the Florida Network, Jane has held all elected positions including Secretary-Treasurer, first and second Vice-Present and President. Jane has recently celebrated her 25th year with Family Resources and her 17th year as President/CEO.
